From Engineering to HR - My Story
Barry Albert Richards.
1.
I started my working life for an Engineering company where I trained to be a Centre Lathe turner. My career has seen me move away from being on the tools and into Quality.
2.
I moved from this and into Project Engineering working as a first-tier supplier to the major OEM’s claiming a steering wheel design door checks and hinges as my projects launched within budget.
3.
Whilst working for a North American company I was invited to take a career change. That was 21 years ago and here I am a qualified Human Resources Professional.
4.
Having met my wife later in life, we chose to re-locate to the Isle of Wight, a place we both fell in love with, and it is through her support that I am confident enough and excited to start on my next venture as a HR Consultant supporting SME’s on and around the Island.
